🪑 Why We Love It
Gebhard’s has perfected the pub vibe. It’s dark wood and pinball machines, easy laughs and excellent pours. The bar sits just above Lincoln Center and barely below street level, making it a hidden gem in plain sight. A street-level alcove offers great people-watching, especially on a rainy day with a pint in hand.
What makes it stand out among Upper West Side bars is the balance between space and intimacy. It’s roomy enough to bring a whole crew post-movie, but cozy enough that you could come alone and melt into the atmosphere without missing a beat. And yes, if you just saw a thriller at the best theater in the city, AMC Lincoln Square, this is your post-credit discussion zone.
