DreamWorks Trolls Holiday – Opinion

DreamWorks Trolls Holiday airs November 24th, 8:30pm on NBC.

Following the same characters as the 2016 movie, the Trolls Holiday special on NBC is perfect for kids who loved the film. The toe-tapping musical half hour centers on Poppy, queen of the Trolls, when she realizes that the Bergens’ calendar has no holidays to celebrate. She enlists Branch and the Snack Pack in a mission to enlighten her best friend Bridget and the rest of the Bergens about the importance of holidays.

Impressively enough, all of the movie’s A-list voice cast is returning. That includes Anna Kendrick, Justin Timberlake, Zooey Deschanel, Christopher Mintz-Plasse and James Corden.

The Holiday soundtrack is sure to have a least a couple of earworms. The music was released in late October, so you can play it on a loop right after you watch.

Following this special, the Trolls will land a Netflix series in mid-January. This may sound like a stretch, but with Pixar on a downward spiral, the animation landscape has never been more ready for DreamWorks to take over.
